Loud Jester is a collective of people passionate about comedy, we are a launchpad for people with the creativity, drive, and commitment to succeed regardless of background or industry connections. Collaboration sits at the heart of the space, prioritising shared resources and collective creativity over competition. Offering multiple spaces for members to meet others involved in their industrury ,at our open mic nights, and curate their work in our writers rooms. We aim to give people a safe space to test out work and build their visions into final pieces and pitch ready products.
Ruby Layla Redford
Ruby Layla Redford is a Comedian, actor, writer and presenter who has carved out a sharp, politically-charged voice across sketches interviews and character led content. Ruby is the creator and host of The HR Department, a commentary-meets-interview chat show where she grills creatives about their work and dives deep into pop culture debates and tries to solve people's queries and In 2024 launched UNPLUGGED, a live chat show at Reading Festival, debuting on the AUX stage. The show returns in 2026 with new artists and is set to become a regular feature. In terms of acting, she recently wrapped filming on upcoming web series Grammar Girls Grind, due to premiere in 2026 and Played Sally Short in Rebel Wilsons "GIRLGROUP".
