from all backgrounds. With 91% of the film and TV industry coming

from middle and upper class backgrounds, many working class voices and original ideas are lost due to financial and structural barriers. By providing a collaborative, evolved version of a “writers’ room”, Loud Jester open rooms offers rotating spots on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring continued access for new and emerging writers as well as a closed room with a smaller more refined group of reviewed applicants which can be changed through the year. Via table reads, peer feedback, and shared performance, writers support one another in developing strong, pitch-ready work. Collaboration sits at the heart of the space, prioritising shared resources and collective creativity over competition. This approach allows members to develop and produce projects without carrying the full financial burden as everyone helps everyone.
